Disposal & Clear-Outs
When items can’t be donated, we do the heavy lifting responsibly, transparently, and with respect.
Overview

Even with thoughtful donation efforts, some items simply can’t be reused. That’s where our Disposal & Clear-Outs service steps in. We manage full clean-outs of rooms, furniture, and bulk items, transporting them to authorized landfills under local regulations. We coordinate all logistics, protect your space, and do our best to minimize waste.
Below you’ll see how the landfill system works locally, what items we commonly dispose of, how we price our service, and how we handle room clear-outs.
What We Typically Dispose Of
These are common items that cannot be donated or passed on, and which we frequently clear out:
-
Broken or worn furniture
-
Dining tables and chairs (if too damaged)
-
Carpets, rugs
-
Old appliances (if they fail or are unsafe)
-
Mattresses with damage
-
Large bulk trash and household clutter
-
Fixtures, old cabinetry (if not reusable)
Room Clear-Outs & Whole-Room Removal
If a full room needs clearing (bedroom, living room, storage room, etc.), here’s how we handle it:
-
Walk-through & inventory: We document what items are staying, being donated, and being disposed.
-
Disassembly: We carefully disassemble beds, dressers, cabinets, etc., to safely remove them through doorways or stairwells.
-
Packaging & loading: Smaller debris or broken parts are boxed or bagged; large items are wrapped and loaded.
-
Transport & drop-off: We route each load to the correct landfill or recycling center.
-
Final sweep & cleanup: We sweep, vacuum, and remove any small debris so the space is left clean and ready.
How Our Pricing Works
-
Volume-based pricing: We quote your removal based primarily on how full our truck(s) will be (e.g., partial load, half truck, full truck).
-
Inclusion of landfill fees: The quoted price includes the weight-based landfill fees (for either Calabasas or Simi, depending on routing) so there are no hidden pass-through surprises.
-
Smaller trucks, smarter loads: We often use smaller trucks for clear-outs so that weight surcharges are minimized and you’re not overpaying for unused space.
-
Transparent quote process: Before finalizing, we’ll show you which landfill route is assumed, what local fees are included, and also any items that might cost extra (e.g., mattresses, upholstered furniture, special handling) based on local rules.
